Bring your camera, a book, easel, a friend or yourself! We are handicap accessible, some gardens cannot be entered but all can be viewed. When you arrive, park in our parking lot and walk to the left of our Waterfall pond to our entrance sign. From there, walk up to our Admission Gate and Restrooms to start your visit. Gardens take one hour to walk through, more for a full experience. We have benches placed throughout the gardens, restrooms and cold bottled drinks at the entrance. It is a good idea to bring bug spray in May and June; a hat in July. We provide you with a map and you lead yourself to get lost! Gardens are signed and do not require a map to tour.

You are welcome to bring your own picnic. Spread out with a blanket on one of our lawns, relax on a bench surrounded by flowers or take a seat in our Gingerbread Terrace or Tea garden with patio chairs and tables with umbrellas. Please carry in, carry out as much as possible, items may be left in the car until lunch time, no alcohol without permission. Call ahead if you would like to reserve tables for more than six people.

Ideal place for kids to learn and have fun! More plants than they’ve ever seen in New Hampshire with butterflies to chase, frogs and squirrels to watch, cats that roam the gardens, parakeets in our aviary, goats, a cow, pony, rabbits and chickens in our barnyard. Children must be supervised at all times.

The End of English Cream Tea

After 18 years of daily baking and serving, our English Cream Tea has come to an end. We will no longer be serving Cream Tea because our baker has finally retired. She is long overdue but is in awe at the support and following her scones have built over the years. It was started as a way to get people to visit her son’s gardens and ends with restaurant status and a yearly tradition for many. We struggle to order our clotted cream, Ceylon tea and have enough staff to serve demand. It is after much thought that we finally came to this decision.

We thank everyone who partook in our tradition; it was an honor to serve you.
